I learned from a young age that I had the ability to create art in all media. I was primarily self-taught. However, thirty years ago, I chose Plein Air painting in watercolor with mentor James Michael, and I have never looked back. Painting on sight, allows me to become one with my subjects and it is always exciting and challenging. Since then I have taken many workshops, with favorites Bridget Austin, Joye Moon and Ratindra Das as well. Traditional representational watercolor works have become my passion due to the serenity it brings to my life and the pleasure it brings to others.
I am attracted to the Great Lakes and parks as well as the Southwest deserts and mountains of Arizona, because they provide God’s beautiful creations in the form of sky, water and flora which are usually on parts of my canvas.
I was elected into the Wisconsin Watercolor Society and I also belong to the Watersedge Artists, Sheboygan Visual Artists “SVA”, Plymouth Art Center, Sun City Grand Art Club, Cedarburg Cultural Center and Rahr West Art Museum. My work has been juried into many of these throughout my journey. My work is increasing in popularity, as I have won numerous awards and I continue to take professional Watercolor workshops at the Clearing in Door County as well as Wisconsin and Sun City Grand, Arizona.
I share my love of art with collectors that represent me in both corporate and private collections throughout the United States. My Art Studio is located in my home in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
